You know...though I usually tell people to "man up" when they get tickets, it does seem like yuo guys are getting hit for a bunch of very low level stuff.
I would hope that the HPD is putting that much effort into fighting real crimes rather than worrying about a few springs and exhausts.
Over here in Ohio they could really give a **** about how the cars are setup...I assume they're more concerned about stuff like speeding, DUI and people getting shot in the bumm.

At one point it was 12" from the bottom of the license plate to the ground.
I know our govenor repealed that rediculous law but don't know what the guidelines are now.

yeah they need to reform the recon and modified vehicle law for sure im soooo sick of paying the salary of some idiot who knows nothing about cars or anything about the laws themselves wtf is this we leave it to the officers discretion weather or not to site you for your recon or exhaust doesnt that leave the door wide open for reasonable doubt or harassment on the cops part the laws themselves are not clear and the cops are even more unclear about what to hand tickets out for aghhhhhhh!!!

i finally got tagged for my drop. this is the first time i have ever got a ticket for that. i work at waikiki and i used to drive my car to and from waikiki for about three years. i always had my car slammed and i never got harassed for that. the only ticket i got in waikiki was for my exhaust.
it was about 8pm... i was on my way to my grandma's house to drop off something. i'm at a red light in between the old kam bowl and mcdonalds in kam shopping center. i see a patrol bike coming to a stop on school street, town bound, with his blue light off. green, it's my turn. i take the left and right by the cemetery he comes on my left side and tells me to pull over at aloha gas station. he says the usual, "can i see your license and etc..." then he opens my door and reads that factory sticker in the door jam. goes back to his bike for two minutes and tells me, "i'm just gonna write you up for your drop." then he asked me, "did u get it done at a shop or you did it yourself?" and i tell him i did it at a shop. then he tells the story about how people modify their car incorrectly by cutting the springs and at highway speeds it can become unsafe...
i was obeying all traffic laws and regulations and i had my oem sti exhaust. there was a trail blazer right in back of me with some $20 blue headlight blubs and a fricken loud flowmaster exhaust.

the H3 overpass in kaneohe by pali golf course, these solo bikers been waiting there to hand out a receipt to the state of hawaii. they caught a friend of mine with a S2, slammed em with over 1k in fines

im finally going to bend over and get recon.. i feel like a biyach but i got that no recon ticket before and boy can it get expensive. i like to ride low like 1codered.. and i figured a wagon would go under the radar a little but just in case... ahh, sucks.
