Got revved on...
and the whole whoosh of the BOV deal and all.
There's probably 2 turbocharged cars in all of southern Indiana, me and him; and of course mines ain't on the road.
I'm in my 2.5 RS at night passing by the highschool, and a 240sx with probably a 2" turbo, a 6" exhaust, and of course 4 different colors on 6 different body panels passes me and revs and blows off.
I kept on going 30mph in my little 160hp car.
WTF?

ricer...but consider it a lesson in humility. it's nice to get a dose of it when we're not in our subies...hahaha.
i was in my civic hatch the other day and was right behind a suby. he gunned it at the light as we got onto the on ramp...his rear lights slowly faded away as he lost me. being in a stock si hatch and trying to keep up with a modded WRX really puts you in your place....hahaha.

I really thought about seeing if I could entice him to follow me down to the twisties a little further south of town.
I'm making not a very large assumption in saying that his turbo (or BOV sound emulator) is probably either so large or so poorly tuned that I could probably make him think twice about it from light to light.
Even 160hp is pretty quick (for short spurts) when you've got a 4.11.
....of course that would sort of negate my 'I hate street racers' license plate bracket on the back of my car.

You're absolutely right.
I do try and put myself in their shoes and figure that they must only be able to piece together their car, one part at a time (in this case, painting = a very expensive part.) Maybe when you see a car like that, they figure that you have to buy that bumper or fenders before you can paint them, and since they can't afford to paint them right now, why not go ahead and bolt in onto the car until that point.
I think about it from the standpoint of my car. I am really fighting the urge to buy an exhaust for my car, but if a swap IS in my car's future, an N/A exhaust would be sort of a worthless purchase.
Now, for someone who could add a turbo to a 240, you'd think that they'd have the resources to paint a car; even if were just to add one uniform coat of primer. Black is in right now, right?
Anyhow, while it's not worth it to me to find out in application, I still wonder which one of us would have a faster 0-60mph or 0-60 feet.
