I taught y teenage son to drive stick on our race Miata at the Solo track on non-event days. He had access to a 9 acre flat and open piece of tarmac. He picked it up real quick.

i learned on the shops tow truck when I was working at the AAFES Car Care Center in Ft. Ord California. On top of that the mechanics use to let me bring the customers cars in the bays so I got further experience driving manual. Then graduation came when I started driving the hills of San Francisco.

I taught the wifey on lagoon drive. Was her first time driving stick and she got it in two lessons plus an uphill lesson too. She kinda had the concept because she always watched me drive. Lucky she never grind the gears or the other bs because it was in my sti! LOL.
