Anyone know clear roads to teach my gf how to drive stick? She wants to learn and hopefully gets into subarus haha.

Hmmm, where's a nice, big empty parking lot? Is the old CompUSA parking lot cordoned off these days? Maybe the Costco lot in Iwilei after closing time? Or maybe a school parking lot on weekends. Just some ideas. Good luck!

well unless you getting an old XT you won't have to teach her stick. all the new ones are autotrajic.

It's not quite in town, but Lagoon drive is pretty good - wide and open. Nice view, too.

That's what I was goin to say. Industrial areas or office buildings. Also, you had just as much potential to blow a transmission as you did the first time someone taught you. People that say our gf is going to be bad because she's a girl sound silly. If someone WANTS to learn, they'll do fine as long as they have a good instructor.

I taught my ex to drive stick and she didnt do anything I didn't do when I learned.

Just took her down at kahala and she wasn't that bad but needs to practice grabbing better but shifting isn't bad.
