Giving up on the clutch job. Anyone know a good place to install one?
Giving up on the clutch job. Anyone know a good place to install one?
I can't for the life of me to get the release pin out. Tried every way to pull that thing, including a washer technique to use torque as a method of pulling, but the pin just keeps on spinning.
I also tried to pull the transmission apart from the motor to see if I can get to the clutch cover bolts so that way I can just leave the release pin in, but the trans and motor won't even separate a millimeter.
I'm about to give on this clutch job unless anyone can give a helping hand. I'm willing to pay or if anyone know a good place to install a clutch except for subaru in mapunapuna because they charged an arm and a leg when I went for a quote?
Regards,
Mel

clutch fork pin??
Im assuming you took the plug out...
spray some wd40/pb blaster where the fork/pin is at, take a long 10mm bolt, ex battery tie down, screw it into the pin and twist/jiggle that sucker...
shouldnt be stuck in there, it will take a bit though...I would offer to help but just realized your in hawaii =) lolll

there may be some hope for you - there are plenty of mechanically inclined people here on the boards (wish i was one of them, a clutch is the only thing i haven't done)
hope someone posts up for you! have the work manual for the car?
