does anyone know by any chance where i can find a good place to get a new windshield for a good price? Mine got a crack on it, and now its all the way across my windshield. So now i need to replace it.

Depends what you call a good price. I had mine done at Safelite. It cost $345 including parts, labour and tax.

I have seen people on here get theirs swapped for as little as $150, but bear in mind that, ideally, the gasket seal around the glass should also be swapped out, and this part is $70 by itself. The cheaper quotes often don't include this. Obviously, you can re-use the old gasket althought there is risk of it leaking.

It is also worth checking with your insurace. Some providers will cover windshield repair/replacement as a freebie or with a small deductable.

 

if you have AAA, they will take care of your windsheild at no charge.

this guy is awesome, he comes out in 3 hours and charges a flat $175 for a brand new windscreen (pilkington glass)

beat that price. Tell him your an i-clubber for the great price.

East bay? Yes. He came to my house in Pleasanton. He works out of Modesto, IIRC.

 

try for a ppg or oem windsheild. i'm on my 4th windsheild,don't go too cheap. i went cheap once,it broke hella eay, the other times i just had bad luck driving on 5 from stockton to sac and back everyday for over a year
