Question Gear oil GB

Since there is a place to buy Neo Synthetic gear oil online, now, who would be interested in doing a group buy for a 5 gallon jug? 4 guys could do transmission and diff, and 5 guys could do the transmission.

I've got 10k miles, and I think it's time to change it, even though I still have really good shift action.

5.

It should be about $220-240, so:
4 guys = $55-60
5 guys = $44-48

Shipping may be cheaper or more expensive. I'm estimating $25-45.

Here's a link to the site

edit: I am talking about the 75W90 stuff for $186.90 for 5 gallons. Not the really expensive stuff.

Ouch... It's time for me to change my gear oil - but I can't see dropping $50 on the stuff. Yowch. If I was rich I'd be in!

really smooth transmission. Easier shifting. Less transmission wear. SCC (or Turbo magazine) used it as they're first transmission "upgrade". After that they recommended putting in a set of gimme gears.

Since I tend to put the most expensive stuff I can find in my car (within reason) as far as fluids go, this is what I want. Have never heard anything bad about it other than a post about possible corrosion if you don't change it out often enough. Since I plan to swap transmission fluid every 10k miles, I feel I have very little to worry about with that.

Maybe this will help?

why not just use redline gear oil... are you using this for your diff's etc...?

If you are then a lot of people have been using redline 75w90 fully synthetic with very positive results.... I might have gotten this mixed up with something else but redline products are very good. I've changed my diff oil and am using redline right now it's good Also added fully synthetic D4 ATF also made by redline when I did my TC..

Sorry Etchy,

But I don't need gear oil for awhile. Maybe in the next GB.
