Why would you like a FMIC? Unless you're putting a big turbo on the car, its not necessary. Yes its nice but its not necessary. Wes and Richard isn't running FMIC's but bigger TMIC's. I've heard FMIC horror stories when someone breaks a leak in the pipes or something comes off out of home.

Truth be told I don't even think you need an upgraded TMIC to run the # on the dragstrip. An upgraded TMIC is more of a street/auto-x/track day kind of thing. It may help stave off a bit of detonation, but you could always throw some 100 octane in the tank at the track to do that...

I'm with Wes - what do you want out of your car?

Well since you asked, here's my $.02........

Learn to drive the car well, Suspension, Wheels & Tires, Brakes, up and down-pipes, good cat back....then ECU, fuel pump, injectors, turbo and whatever IC you want.

In my mind that's a good "road map" to setting up a good car. have fun.

If I had a chance to do my mods all over again, I would have saved my money and wait until STEALTH-WRX has completed his car. I would love to replicate what he has done, but I'm near completion of my current engine set-up.

I have the Xede and Xmap and my block should arrive in two weeks.

Vishnu is taking orders for their stage 3.

Ultimate Racing has a proven 11sec. car. Not many people seem to like them, but their set-up costs less then what I have spent so far and I still believe that I am far from having an 11sec. car unless I use nos.

No way. You are well on your way to a great setup with that. Don't start comparing your car to guys who have been modding for a year+, and definitely not Chibby's monster-beast. Other than some EM, you are very close to mine, engine-wise. You probably could run it faster, too

Just keep doing one thing at a time, and soon you will have a great car that everyone else will go "DAAAAYUM!" when they hear about it. Of course that just leads to more building.

Good luck, and happy modding.
edit: kawshon1, you have a PM.
