gas mpg?
w/76 i get 15-17mpg..... shell is about the same too.
w/chevron i've gotten around 20-23. some started a "gas" thread a while back and everyone suggested 76 or shell. my survey says that the other 2 burn alot faster and i get sh** for mileage.
just my 10 cents.............

I use all kinds of gas but usually get about 15-20 MPG.
15 when I don't leave town and 20 when I go to the "boonies" (Aiea, PC, Ewa, Kapolei, Kaneohe...etc.) 1-2 times during a tank of gas LOL! :rotfl:

Mileage has a lot to do with how heavy your right foot is, as well as wheter youre in traffic or on the freeway! I have seen 23-24 mpg on my sti when cruising long distances from ewa to kaneohe, and as bad as 10 mpg when going to HRP and back (making 1/4 mile passes in between). Brand of gasoline has little to do with your MPG. If youre looking for a better performing gasoline, I'd use Tesoro over Chevron anytime - its because their catalytic reformer unit uses better feedstock (lighter cuts) - it comes out cleaner therefore it does not require additives like chevron does to prevent gumming. Also its a little closer to 93 octane than chevron. I did use it to run my best of 12.65 @ 107.4 coincedence...maybe? As for other brands, their gasoline is older cause it has to be shipped from the mainland - so it aint as fresh as tesoro and chevron... just my 2 cents.

i get consistent 20 mpg from ewa to town and back. I thought that as long as the average of the research octane and motor octane (R+M/2) is 92, then the gases from different pumps are the same. BTW, i use ALOHA/AVISTA!! gas.

I only use Shell too. I tried a tank of 76 but didn't notice any difference so I will go back to Shell since it's the cheapest for me @ $2.47/gal. If it aint broke don't fix it right?
