GAS consupmtion SURVEY..
I have always been using Chevron with Techron since the day I got my drivers license at the age of 16. I use 89 octane for a couple of reasons.
REASONS:
1.White car/ 89 octane is indicted by the color white.
2.The commercial made a believer out of me.
3.Family members recommended it including a friend of mine who raced dragster before.
Now Im wondering what rate octane do you fellow iclubbers use and at what gas staion do you normally attend?
Oh and where is the cheapest Chevron gas station have you come acrossed and how long does your full tank last you based on your driving habits?
Thanks for you looking

since i drive a 2.5i, my car only needs 87 octane to run normal. but i put in 91 anyways. i go to chevron cuz of the 'techron'. i never did try shell gas w/ vpower. can't seem to find the difference between the two.
i wouldn't be suprised if it reaches 4.00. that would be history in the making..
i think the cheapest chevron gas is the one near farrington.

Oh yeah, in Import Tuner, this guy had a WRX and used 87 octane and they dyno'ed his car. Then they filled it with 91 octane and dyno'ed it again, he gained 40whp just because of the gas.

lol heres a story for yall..
so, i came from vegas, where 76 stations are plentiful and (at the time) 100 octane was $3.49 a gal. so i had my car dyno tuned for 96oct and mixed 92/100oct to obtain the optimum 96oct. then i unexpectedly moved here, gas prices shot up, and there is only 1 76 that carries 100 on pump. until recently i have been using chevron 92oct (sometimes tesoro) and have been getting anywhere from 215 to 225 per tank. most of the guys on here recommended shell v-power, i tried it, and ill never use anything else again. i hit 300mi twice on a full tank with v-power compared to the 225mi from chevron. this is all 80% spirited driving. the past few days i have been experimenting with something new, mixing xylene (thanks Myron). if calculations are right im currently at 97oct, i have yet to 'open it up', but i cant wait til i have the chance.
