i've been using fram for years.ever since i had my '90 intgera back in '98.and i've never had any problems.

 

i have used fram since like my second oil change also.. no problems...might be your gasket

 

thanx... stupid plastic ring must have got brittle.... i had it on for a week and no probs... i guess it needed some extra lube-age... haha... the napa gold is awesome

argh.. this whole time i though subaru OEM was the ONLY option! ive been dying to change oil for days cept i cant get to the store in time for closing..

since I started changing oil myself (started using Royal Purple)...no problems here...

Man that oil is like gold...hate to take it in somewhere to have someone put it aside and give me generic dino oil...later to use it themselves...

...oh, and buying a Craftsman Jack sure made things easier ;-)
