Is the Forester a Wagon or an SUV?

I hear people saying it's one or the other.....and it's made me curious myself. So what is it? a Wagon or an SUV?

On the VIN it is a passenger car, but it is marketed as a SUV. IMO, it is a mix of both, and can be whatever you want it to be.

If Subaru knows what is good for them, they will remarket it as a Wagon. The Sport Ute has only a couple years left, and then it's gone. Watch.

Subaru and most of the safety test companies consider it a compact SUV.

Ha ha ha! hmm....subaru rivalries, eh? I'd do something like that...except that my budget means my XT is gonne be stock for just a while longer meaning that modded Rexs would beat me.....more so on the twisties.....

They should use the EJ25s for the whole impreza lineup,....except that making the WRX faster might creep up on STi sales.

I think this is exactly why they understated the BHP of the Forester at 210 when they have been on the dyno at 240ish. They did not want to tick off the WRX owners. a local guy got a 13.84 in the 1/4 with a stock MT F-XT which aint too shabby. I saw the Cobb F-XT pull a 13.4 at One Lap in Heartland Park a few weeks ago. And that was starting off in reverse by mistake and only a 3K RPM launch. The staging guy made him back up then the tree started
