Flywheel Question
I don't understand your question. What do you mean by better? I would say i like my exedy 14.3lb w/ lightened crank pulley. I would say if you don't have a lightened crank pulley the 11 lb one you are referring to may be ok. I think it would be considered difficult to drive with the 11lb FW and lightened crank pulley.
But this is just one man's opinion.

better is a very broad statement. it really depends on exactly what you'll be doing with the car and the purpose of your upgrade. don't just do it just because you can say you have a lightened flywheel. Just know that to light of a flywheel will make daily driving very difficult and almost.

^^^Agree with Chris...
I am running the ACT Streetlite Flywheel, with a Cobb lightened pulley....
The car revs much quicker than stock...and since adjusting, clutch shudder is minimal...
You just need to gas it a little more since there is much less rotational mass to smoothly get you going.
Like Chris said...the Prolite/lightened pulley combo may be too light...
but then again, I've never tried the Prolite/lightened pulley combo either...
I do like the way my car responds now...very enjoyable!
Ryan @ Vakamon FTW! He installed everything...works great!

Search around a bit. I'm not sure if it pertains to the '04 STi's, but many of the models start throwing CEL's with lightened flywheels. IIRC the ACT Streetlite and standard pulleys were the lightest that could be counted on to not give misfire codes.

^^^the CEL issue
was aimed at primarily the WRX (02/03)...they had an extra sensor that threw a CEL...
I would go over and talk to Ryan at Vakamon...he will talk to you and give you a good idea on what will work best for you...
he will give you a package price...
if you are going to replace out your flywheel, you might as well change your clutch at the same time...
The way I see it, it would be very expensive to just replace the flywheel...I would wait till your clutch wore out, mine did at around 50Kmi...then purchase a new clutch/flywheel and have it installed together...
changing out the flywheel/clutch is labor intensive...it would be sad to have to pay for labor again a year or two down the line to replace out the clutch when you could have saved yourself the time and money if you did them both together...

For the record, according to Cobb the lightweight flywheel AND pulley is a hit or miss problem. Some have no issues, some absolutely need to remove the pulley. I've never seen anyone with a lightweight flywheel have problems (other than lack of driving skills). I personally run an APS chromloy flywheel (~13 lbs) and Exedy clutch. I couldn't recommend the "flyweight" flywheels in the 11 lb range.
