I just used the Quaker State Advanced stuff...it's alright and not that expensive at all.

 

i had the same problem oil filter was on really tight. lucky thing i had a adjustable
oil filter wrench...i used mobil 1

 

you guys are all pansies... i took my filter off in seconds... just follow my simple instructions and its easy! (but i can't be responsible for any liabilities that may arise!)

It's hard to find the oil filter wrench for the STI. It's really tight on first time you change the oil. You can use a Mazda Maita oil filter wrench from the dealer . The parts dept person can help you. Just bring or buy a OEM filter and try it. It fits like a glove.
