my 06 wrx oil change *first time from me*
To start this off, my car has 13k miles. I've been letting the dealersh!t change my oil til now, every 3k-3.5k miles. But this week their busy. This is going to be my first oil change im going to do on my own car. I have no exp on oil changes.. lol yes im a nooberishizm guy. Are there tutorials on how to do a perfect oil change?

Car Info: 05 H2 SUT, 45 GPW, 10 Murano, 13 Boss 302
* Jack up car
* Place jackstands
* Remove under carriage tray
* Remove oil drain plug
* Allow oil to drain completely
* Put new crush washer on oil drain plug, throw old one away
* Reinstall oil drain plug and tighten
* Remove oil filter
* Put a small amount of oil on new filter o-ring
* Fill oil filter with oil
* Install new oil filter hand tight
* Remove oil fill cap
* Insert oil into fill tube in engine bay - capacity as listed in your manual (minus the oil you already put in the filter)
* Reinstall oil fill cap
* Run engine and check for leaks
* Reinstall under carriage tray
* Remove jackstands
* Lower car
* Mark mileage, date, etc. in your service booklet
* Place jackstands
* Remove under carriage tray
* Remove oil drain plug
* Allow oil to drain completely

Thanks Egan!! Dont get me wrong but i like having the dealership do my oil changes because i want a good serviced car if i wanted to sell it. Dealership = proof if good serviced cars.

my buddy works at elk grove toyota and actually heard that response from a lil old lady who brought her 'yota in because it woudnt turn on (motor seized) haha
