I didn't know our cars were fly-by-wire...I thought only the throttle body and accelerator were drive-by-wire?

were they just joking or were they serious when the said it was not reccomended for the STI? click the link and then on the how much is this going to cost me. it says not for the STI. if they are joking thats a pretty s2pid joke. if it's true and they haven't made one for the STI why are you guys telling nate he should buy one? i know if i had the money i would spend it on something i know will work well, not the cheaper substitute. thats like saying a front mounts a frontmount, doesn't matter which one you buy cuz they're all the same so buy the cheaper one. i'm one of the cheapest guys around, but i'm only cheap when i can be. better he spend more money and buy something that hes gonna be happy with, then wish he had after he gets something he doesn't want.

Joey, I belive that you are correct in what you say, but somehow it must change the steering rack a little even though the actual rack is not fly by wire. Justin, that was my exact point. This "quickner" is not yet available for the '04 STi, and I for one don't feel like being the test dummy for it, unless they want to send me one for free, but why would they do that when they could try it themselves. There are obviously some issues with the STi and this "quickner". I also wonder what the longevity is of something like this.

from Rev-Lab

We have played with our own steering quickened 4 years back but dropped the whole thing after we could not get people to try them ...not even for free. (at that time I thought that was an ok idea)

Than we started on the rack modification

Eventually, after a year of trying to get the word out about a product we really believed in, we finally got 15 racks distributed across the country for people to test.

The first 15 racks were all given away free, because
we considered that the cost of R&D and to get the product accepted.

Today things are different.......We are now working with 11 different companies that manufacture different parts for the product.

The operation has grown, and we are not operating from a garage beside our house with handsaws and chisels. (and we never did)

To ensure consistency and quality, I am still the only person that is ultimately responsible for final assembly and testing before the racks are shipped to our customers.

The rack is now being used by several winning American and European rally teams, Touring cars and has proven itself in competition, as well as on the street.

So, with regards to Oldmansan's question "Do you honestly think the RevLab rack is 5+ times better", my response is that I know our rack is 5+ times better!
