Feeler thread to bring Ed from EQ Tuning this summer

From what I've been reading since coming to back to the islands (maui boy NON-JOHNY from MWR affiliated) is that PDX and AMS makes frequent trips out here to tune on a regular basis. I recently relocated here from Nor Cal and got my car tuned by Ed from Equilibrium Tuning, Inc.. I spoke to Ed via pm and he is willing to make a trip out here during mid to late summer if I can get a minimal of 10 guys who want a tune. EQ offers custom tuning services for Subaru, Mitsubishi, Nissan GT-R, Chevrolet (Corvette, Camaro, etc), and BMW Turbo Engines as well as standalone tuning for many other applications. I've known people who drove 4+ hrs to get their cars tuned by Ed. As far as pricing is concerned, it was $400 per tune, $350 for 15 or more (not including dyno). pm sent to dan to figure that out. I know its a little more than PDX, but I know his work is quality. Click on the link above and let me know if I am wasting yall time. Not trying to take away from anyones business, but when you had a good experience somewhere, you put people onto it.

The more guys who come the better for the community right... at the end of the day ppls will go to who they want so bring him down...... FYI group dyno is 120 usually..... at least for us AMS & PDX it is (but we been doing it for a while) so not sure when the going rate is now...

this is actually a feeler, to get opinions and voices heard which can easily turn into a actual date, set in stone, granted people want to do this. much love to all the cali guys who have gone to Ed in the past. ever go to a shop where they order you food while your car gets serviced/worked on? its called EQ. i messaged Ed and those were the rates he gave me.. so yeah, if you are intrested, let me know so i can start taking names. spoke to another member on the forum who states Ed came here in the past and only did 1-2 cars during his trip. I guess thats why Ed has a min of 10 required/15 for 50$ off his rate if we want him to come down. Yes i'm sure he will make a vacation out of it, but it has to be worth his while. Based on experience, booking at his shop for tunes avg 2-4 weeks wait and he has a steady flow of regulars so finding work is the least of his concern, making room to fit more in is where the problem will be. I sent a message to Jarrod via PDX website to get his opinions and what not, my car will need a tune shortly, his praise and prices in Oahu speaks for itself. However, I am willing to wait and pay more for Ed because of my experience with him and his crew. When your car needs a tune, you go with what you think is best for your car....

Keoni or anyone else intrested, let me know. Dates can be arranged once I get enough people who want to do it and who are willing to put down a non refundable deposit to minimize flaking. I dont plan on making this happen over night.

Shagg, couldnt agree more with your post. As far as price on Dyno, I dont see why we couldnt get the same rates as AMS or PDX being as that it will be a organized multi day event.

True that. Ed and his crew over at EQ are spectacular. My first time there getting my car tuned, he offered me a few slices of pizza and my subsequent times there, they offered to pick me up some lunch if I gave them the money (happened to be on lunch). Nothing but greatness from them.

My girl is currently at 82,XXX miles but I want to schedule a maintenance appointment and do the 90K service early. I also need to do an alignment on the car (hopefully that'll take car of my suspension issue). As far as I know, it's never been done before on the car.
