Anybody here have any feedback from personal use, or still have it running on their car? I'm looking for a new noise maker....LOL. I have an AVO 50/50 hybrid, but am looking for something a little louder, and with a little different sound than the woosh of the AVO.

been using the valve for quite some time now...almost a year now, loud at WOT, sometimes tends to jus vent air and no whistle sound due to our car boosting fairly high psi's...as far as sound its a unique whistle, much different whistle compared to all bovs (sharp high pitched and long)...if you are plannin to pick up a type S..good luck on finding one in new condition, because this valve has been discontinued and replaced by the RS...happy hunting

 

Chris, I love it so far. The car has lots of power and handles great. Plus, the local Suby community has been very friendly.

 

So did you have any issues with it leaking boost or anything? What about idle problems? It must be ok if you're still using it though. I feel you on trying to locate a good condition used one. I've been looking on Nasioc for like a couple of weeks, and have seen some, but like you said, the ones in "new condition" are hard to come by. If you're ever in Waikele, drive up and down my street couple times so I can hear it first hand. Just kidding. The search goes on.
