i've heard that you can actually go after the state/city to try and get money for damage to your car due to potholes. not sure on exactly who you can talk to though, and i heard it's a lot of paper work and what not, but if you got serious damage might be worth the shot. glad it stopped raining though, i got friends visiting in town too.
