Just finished gradually breaking in my STI. Keeping it below 5K, I thought the low to mid range power was great, and I was totally looking foward to a warp speed rush to redline. Well, I finally went WOT today, and maybe I was expecting more. It's certainly way faster than my old AMG C-36, but not as much top end as I hoped there would be. The quickest wheels I've owned/driven was a GSX-R 750, and the top end, as you would expect from a motorcycle was awesome, pulling insanely to redline. Anyways, I still love my my STI, was hoping to keep it stock, but may have to make some mods... Don't mean to put down the car, it's awesome, but anyone felt the same after break-in?

 

that's what a restrictive exhaust and small turbo gets you.

 

No joke ! , after freeing up my exhaust top-end increased dramatically
