yeah, I love my wife more than anything. just playin with ya. i think every married man on this thread is used to hearing their wives say something to this effect, "is that all you think about, your stupid subaru"
I then reply, "hmmmm....yes, what do you think about a black front mount"
and she replies, "all i know is that you drive a loud white wagon, and i don't care about
whatever a front mount is"
something to that effect...am i right?

well, my wife is actually kinda interested in the whole car thing and even helped me do my recent coilover install and actually understands the concept of positive/negative camber and caster so i guess not every married guy suffers that problem....:RockOn - not mine:

Mike, you definitely got yourself a good one. My wife just doesn't want to hear about it. I always bug her about what I should get next for the wagon......knowing damn well she could care less. I do it so much, it's worn her down, and she now just says to get whatever makes me happy. It's the tried and true Jedi mind trick!

Yes much better to ask forgiveness than permission.
I think if i asked permission for the parts i've bought for my wagon...it could very well be stock still.
And Mike, how long you been married for? We're almost at our one year (NOOB)
When i did the exhaust on my car, my wife got in and said "it sounds louder"
i then responded "it's not, thats the car next to us"
I'm tellin you i'm awesome when it comes to this stuff.

October 29th was our first anniversary. hopefully about 75 more to go. as for just buying and getting scolded later, i found its better to let her know what you plan to do then give it some time to settle. then later i let her know when im gonna buy it and assuming we arent poor and she knows she is taken care of she doesnt usually have a problem with it. in fact when she saw how excited i got about getting my coilovers she hopped righ in with me and wanted to help on the instal. im pretty sure thats not completely typical behavior from the opposite sex (which is why i count my lucky stars) but i think getting them involved helps. but then again i could just be blessed.

so true my friend but...
700$ Ap=700$ Gucci Hand Bag...i believe is the way she looks at it, not to say i don't buy her stuff. It just sucks being married to a label freak!
For the most part honestly...my wife hasn't had many problems with me modding my rex though. But she definitely will not hop on board and help. Sometimes we'll be driving and I'll pull my AP out and starting diddling around on it just so i can hear her go..."pff, now what"

LOL you guys...just marry a girl on i-club like me!

My wife convinced me to buy another WRX after selling my other one.

Then she tells me go ahead and buy whatever I want for it...because she knows I am too Chinese to go spending crazy money on car parts (this new WRX is going to be a milder build than my old one).

She keeps telling me she wants me to get a new exhaust so she can hear the suby rumble and I keep having to convince her that I am going stealth.
