This is just my $.02 San..........But wouldn't you want to have a bung welded on your header or is drill and tap cool on headers???

I'm not sure. I'd like to drill and tap, but I wonder is the wall thick enough for enough threads. I wonder if I can just back off some heat wrap, and have a bung welded on the car? I don't want to remove the manifold unless I have to. But you guys did it on the car? Did you put grease on the bit or what?

San, I think you will need to have a bung welded on like Dan said. Do drill and tap your manifold is asking for problems, I don't think the wall is thick enough to seat the probe snug enough... But then again, you could try and if it doesn't work out too good just add a bung later. I know you like to do things the "right way" though, and welding a bung on is the right way.
