Diff bushings update

Can you say NOISE?

The improvements for these bushings are numerous (handling, thump-be-gone, etc)

But the downside is NOISE.

The tonal from my ring and pinion is transmitted right up the B-pillar and sings in my ear. Not to mention the deceleration noise that many of us are plauged with (deceleration ROAR in my case) now comes from the rear of the car as well.

I'm going to experiment with putting a rubber sheet inbetween the metal washer and the body.

oh, and I have ANOTHER exhaust leak.

which bushings are you using? i've been thinking about doing this for a while. would you say it was worth it despite the increase in cabin noise?

I'm not taking them out if that tells you anything.
It's all about personal preference. I don't mind loud exhaust, rough ride, lost of noise if I get equivalent power gains. BMW drivers wouldn't put up with it

oh yeah, I'm using the whiteline rear diff outrigger bushings.

that tells me a lot. it would have to be pretty obnoxious for me to take something like that out if it provided any sort of significant handling or power deliver improvement.
