I just gotta get some time to go down to the store to sign up.
Leila went for me, but said that they "didn't have any apps" which of course means they just want people to come down to the store. Finishing work at 7:00 doesn't help...
3.5DOHC is signed up, hows about the ditch or Ds or any other hp deprived drivers.... It'll be the GT165 class and GT227 class, and maybe a GT300 class if any STi's show up....

i went today...i was also talking with farid, and he wanted me to post some safety tips...so here's what i posted on the speedhawaii site:
hey everybody...i was at the speedgear motorsports today, and Farid wanted me to post some safety tips for the upcoming track day...
safety is our main concern, and we want everyone and their car to go home in one piece...please do the following to your cars BEFORE you head out to the track...
1. empty out your car...remove ALL loose objects (cell phones, cd's, airplane air fresheners, speaker boxes, etc.)...we dont want anything that could possibly roll under the brake pedal...we also dont want drivers to be distracted by something rolling around in the car...
2. remove your dashboard cover...this may sound trivial, but i once had my dash cover block my view of the track when a crosswind blew through the car...
3. fill up your gas tank...yes, less gas means less weight, which means faster car, but you do NOT want to experience any fuel starvation while on the track...especially with other drivers close to you... **this means YOU shin**
4. ensure your tires and brakes are in good shape...have your brake fluid changed if it has not been changed recently...i have had old fluid boil on me, and it was not a fun experience...
5. there will be a tech inspection...i'll let farid or one of the moderators post more details when they are available...
there may be more safety issues that arise, and they will probably be covered during the tech inspection. hopefully this will be a fun and safe event for everyone.

Guys, if you're planning on doing this, sign up as soon as you can so it's easier to try and get a head count of Subaru's!
Faird would like some of us to help out with working the course also. He has a lot of fun ideas, ... we just need the participation.
So how does timed laps sound? Race to see who can get the fastest lap!
Long course, ... and short course, ... maybe mixing things up to take away the "HP" advantage.
more to follow ....

He's looking for enough participation, ... I'm not sure how much help he needs, ... but I know he wants people who are experienced on the track to help out.
