CV boot problem
well we did my coilovers today and i was very happy till i got home and went to put my stock rims back on. on the passengers side, the wheel well was covered in grease. i traced it to the cv boot which has a hole in it. so, i guess it needs to be replaced. anyone have experience with this? how much does it cost for a replacement and where can i get one? i'm gonna try to get the insurance co to fix it since it "might" have been from the acciedent, but if it doesn't work i will need one asap. thanx in advance for the help. They aren't that hard to change you can get a boot at any parts store just don't get the two piece boot. The only bad thing about changeing them is you can get really dirty. I know of somebody who had the dealership replace theirs for free. His was torn while his springs were being installed at his house.

so he just went in and told them it was torn and they replaced it? wow, i wish that would work but they will see my shiny new coilovers and know somethings up. anyone available tomorow to help me do this? i guess i will have to call in sick again but oh well.
justin - try calling subaru (if you want oem), napa or checkers tomorrow for a new boot and fluid (if not sold together). depending on what time i get off of work i should be able to help you out. give me a call or pm me.

You had that problem because you probably only jacked up the one side you were working on right..You had the tension of the sway bar pushing up the side you were working on.
