Curious STI Oil Cooler
hey guys,
i was looking at an STI oil cooler and i saw the price 1K plus. i was like WTF. an oil/trans cooler, AN fittings, and braided lines. which is around at the max $200. what warrants the other $800+. maybe the stenciled "STI" for 700 and 100 for two adapters for oil flow in and oil flow out to the block. is it an adapter to relocate your oil filter as well? just curious on your opinions or for those who do have it. is it really a $1K product.

first of all they use a very good core. if it's a oil/trans cooler then it warrants in since it cools both fluid at the same time. of course you'll pay more for a sti branded one than a piece meal one but they have all the custom fittings...etc. that connect to the RA transmission (that has oil lines coming from it) and the STi engine. the SS lines are exact fit... blah blah blah.
it is a rediculous price to pay for a oil/transcooler but if you want to have it i say go for it!
the adapter can be used to relocate your oil filter or to just add a oil temp/pressure sensor for a gauge...etc.
STI is STI and it's always good quality ****
