I'm assuming you're Ok!?? It's good that it seems no one was hurt. I see that no one else even cares about that.

Be more careful!
... next time try autoXing first, ... you'll gain some needed skill.

But there is nothing like the real source to get the info from.
So the question on everyone's minds... How?
yes i did drive. it was a lot of fun and i wished to participate more often, i was looking forward to the december event. i am sorry for how i acted before, it was very immature of me. i would just like to say though that we were not racing, and my friends did help me a lot.
this is what i posted on the other board.

I'm glad you want people to be safe and want to let people know about things like this. I also know that a good police officer would want to encourage people to drive safely such as yourself. However, I also know that a good police officer would want to provide accurate information.
I just wanted to let everyone know what really happenned and would like to thank you for giving everyone a heads-up. We were not street racing, we were driving up there because of some ghost stories we heard. I certainly did not intend to crash. The pond was not half way covering my car, which was a little more than 1 year old WRX. My friends did not run away and they did help me. They heard the crash and immediately came back to help me and even called 911 for me. They then went back to our other friend's home to get them. I feel very fortunate to have friends like them.
You are absolutely correct. My driving skills are not as good as most and I am not much Not only had I been speeding, but it was on a road that I was unfamiliar with and also was not covered with street lamps. This was absolutely my fault and I do not deny that I am not as skilled a driver as I would like to be.
I know it was my mistake and a big one at that and I learned a lot from this experience, and I hope that others will learn from this as well.
As of now, the insurance people believe it will be fixable. Sorry guys, no parts

Well Friday the 13th has struck again! A bunch of guys decided to road race on Nuuanu Pali Drive and guess what?....one of them did not make it. They decided to crash through a concrete wall, a chain link fence and then into a pond half way covering the car. Trashed the front end and underside totaling a brand new blue colored 2002 Subaru WRX. Even worse the friends in the front Acura ran away without even helping or checking on their friends but did return very much later in a different car...good to know your life is always in good hands with real friends...(yeah right!) The good thing is that they were not drinking so I guess that was his true driving skills.
It is the holiday seasons and some of us may not make it to next year but best wishes and be careful out there folks!

Sorry to hear that SCSI, I knew about it for a few days but I just let him give the official word. The only thing peeves me out is that some people actually get the nerve to ask about "parts" and never console nor ask if they're ok or not. Well I guess about the cop part that its generalized when you put a WRX with an "Acura" in a crash scene now days, they would generalize it as a race. I wouldn't let it get to ya, just hope you get your car fixed asap. Crashes happen and most of the time you can't do anything about it. But it does look like that Scooby held up pretty well in that crash.
