Is this common?

I'm still getting use to my STi, but I've notice that when going up a steep hill, I need to angle my car to prevent scraping my lip and this causes one of my wheels to leave the ground. I hear a Clunking/Shuddering sound comming from the rear diff...Is this common? I've already search NASIOC and found some help but I wanted to know if any of you have come across this....BTW, my DCCD is set at "auto".

Thanks fellas,
Dave

As far as the DCCD in Auto... it will always default to that every time you start the car. The lip scraping... after I but the Tein SS on my car, when I leave the parking garage I always go up at an angle and if I am on the gas at the angle I can hear one tire kinda spin off the ground.. I just hit it a little fast so that inertia will move me up the ramp just enough to get all tires even on the ground... Is you suspension stock?

the clunking could be from being in too high of a gear? i think my sti my do the same thing on my driveway...i hit it at an angle so i dont scrape cuz its really steep and the rear tire will pop up but i dunt ever hear clunking from the dif
