Just recently visited the islands with the family and it was one of the nicest vacations i've had so far. It reminded me of the PI back home, humid weather, small roads some traffic, and everyone looked filipino to me except for some locals. Heck they even thought i was local. It started out great as i was able to rent out an 04 2.5 rs, it was nice to drive the suby around oahu. We stayed at the outrigger reef hotel in waikiki near ala moana blvd, it was nice as the beach was just downstairs. Lewers shops were cool but damn too pricey, so we setteled for Aloha Stadium swap meet. Kam Hwy took us around oahu basically. North shore beaches were cool, able to visit relatives, love giovanni's shrimp and matsumoto shaved ice, rainbow drive in was the bomb, even Curry House inside Ala Moana mall, basically we just ate, slept, went swimming, driving, and then ate some more--perfect!!!! I enjoyed these days over the luau and the dole tour, but it was cool to experience it i guess. Though we got to visit Pearl Harbor as well, and that was really nice and touching. Since we had so much of a good time, we plan to go back next year and do the same thing all over again. Mahalo

Where are you from the PI? Just visited Iloilo back in March and had the same experience,...ate, sleep, went to clubs to listen to live bands, got massages, slept, and ate again,...Good times,...

 

im from Makati, and i basically do the same thing in the city, i visited my friend's family in Olongapo (Zambales), same thing as well, eat, drink, sleep, club, "special massages" etc etc

 

lol "special massages".. glad u had a good time in hawaii.. BUT.. get choke traffic!!
