Code Reader

I was wondering if anyone had a OBD II reader. My wifes Durango is throwing a CEL and I am trying to make sure it isnt something stupid before I take it in. I will pick it up if anyone is willing to give it up for a couple hours. Thanks

Josh

yeah, I've done that twice. Once with my suby and once with my moms dodge minivan. You have to pay the full amount to rent it ($180??) and then they refund it after you bring the code reader back in from using it in the parking lot, you get your money back

Hmm

I didnt realize they would give the money back after using it. I got a checker auto parts right down the street so I will cruise down there and see if they will do that. Thanks guys.

If that doesnt work I may need to use your reader. Ill let ya know.

yeah, its pretty much just a safety deposit...they say its a free rental because they dont charge a rental fee. They just wanna make sure that if you break it or steal it, they have your money to get another one
