check engine light ?

just got this code rite after installing the up, installed the AP and could not clear the code...any takers ?...eric i think i found out what's wrong call me up when u get a chance..


code is P1088 (tumbe Generated Valve Position Sensor 1 Circuit Low)

i don't think so..he put 02 sensor back in (it's a helix uppipe)
ap should do the trick..one of the maps have the fix for the sensors

i've tried with the ap and it doesnt work..maybe i'm doing something wrong ?..i uploaded the stage 2 with 91 oct map and cant seem to clear the code..tried resetting the ecu and nuttin...taking it to ryan at vakamon tommorrow to check it out..just came back from ohana and the sensor's arent cheap...around 140 bucks each(damm) so ya if anyone could help out i was thinkin about jackin up the car and taking these 2 sensors' out and see if they can be fixed by hand(lol)..n e one up for it ?...thanks to scoobymod's for the infor...hahaha

k here's what i'm lookin at ...
after looking on my car this tgv sensor seems a bit loose and may be cracked

it could be this one also



ahh dang..more research

You guys do the "take the turbo off the car" UP install or the "jack up the engine" way?

I've only done the "jack up the engine" way and don't remember doing those two bolts.

jack up the engine way...ya we didnt take off these bolts but looking at the sensor it's loose and looks a lil cracked...frick

ouch good to hear that you located the prollem tho. how much is a tgv sensor? 140???

well brandon at ohana said was going to be around 140 a pop...went driving last nite and my check engine light went off ? should i be worried or just forget about it until it comes on again ?...well taking it to ryan today at vakamon to be sure...i'll hit ya with the results...eric i'll keep in touch...i just installed the front strut bar..now i gotta do the rear after i get off work..shoots
