Cel Fix = Ala Moana ???

So there I was no Sh**! I have been running with a solid cel and a flashing cruise control for a day and a half. I was waiting for my day off tomorow to get the code read, but from serching a little I figure it may be the o2 sensor. My only mod is a full TBE with the cel fix so far. I guess the 06 WRX Cruise disables when you pop a cel like the STI's did. Any way I had to run to town to get my kids reserved copy of Cars cuz that movie is mad tight yo. I park at the mall still had a Cel, I leave the mall I didn't, I was like kewl I think! It hasn't popped up again since. Any thoughts on this, was my ECU just tripping for a minute? Peace to the two black WRX's I seen, the one I was following at Alas and one Ewa bound on the H1 with in4mation Lic. Frame.

unfortunately it will likely come back. the o2 sensor cel will go away and come back off and on. sometimes it goes away for a while, somtimes the next time you start the car.

well the computer has a "limp" mode or a safety mode that it reverts to if the car is operating in a condition that could harm the engine. in this safety mode it retards timing and dumps fuel. again this is to save the engine from harm. it probably went away because you've hit the time where the code becomes historical. Its stored in memory (as long as you don't clear the ecu) but doesn't mean that the problem went away. the ECU probably reverted to the safety map so the CEL went away.

Jon

- as Justin stated above that it'll probably come back

the trouble code will still be in your ecu. You can still get the code read! It will also show pending codes, history, etc. Good Luck!
