Carpet install questions
Anyone drop in a 04 or newer carpet into GC?
How was the fit?
Do I need to mod any thing like cut holes, things like that.
I have a 04 STI carpet that I want to lay in after I sound proof everything.
Should I tack it down with some spray upholstery glue?

you don't want to glue a carpet to your car.. you might like to take it out to vacuum or clean.
i use velcro. buy some industrial strength at walmart or so and stick the "teeth" side velcro to the bottom of your carpet. you might not need to stick the "fabric" side to the floor because the floor might already be fuzzy like that..
cheers!

^^idk about you pete pete but when i vacuum my carpet it stays in the car. i think maybe your thinking of the floor mats and not the whole carpet itself. velcro will not work for the back by the doors since the sti carpet is really stiff like molded plastic or something. i would say if you really want it to look nice and last then use some self tapping metal screws and get it on there good. otherwise it's not that bad really and it doesn't cause any trouble to have it just sticking up a bit.

Good Info on this, I still need new carpet in my GC bad so I have been on the lookout for some STI stuff for awhile to replace it. Figured I would ask then about the install, but this thread will do.
