Car Shipping

Does anyone know of a good shipping company? I want to ship out my wife's LGT wagon this December and need to find a good company to ship it. I am looking at Cascade Vehicle Shipping Inc right now, anyone heard of them? Please let me know what you guys know. Thanks in advance. Oh and shipping to Texas if that makes a difference.

Matson is prolly the biggest shipping company on the island. They ship all the brand new cars to the dealerships as well as all the military POVs (Privately Owned Vehicles) I don't know what their prices are, but because they're so big they can't be that bad and they ship pretty fast. My only complaint is thta when you drop the car off there is a section where you can write any special instructions for your vehicle which they don't read...I wrote for them to not roll down the passenger side window cause the motor died and it won't roll back up..when I went to pick up my car the window was down. Also my car was extremely dirty, but they give you a coupon for a free carwash so its all good.

There are only two shipping carriers that will haul a car from Hawaii to the West Coast. Matson for sure, and Northland

It's the third party companies that will take it further for you via big rig semi's.

And I'll tell you now, that most of them just sub contract other trucking companies once it hits Long Beach CA.

You'll have Matson ship it, a third party unknown company ship it to texas via a semi, and your shipper being the broker for you...

From Long Beach, it's an 18 hour drive to Texas, with one over night stay along the way..

Go with who is insured, and search the web for reviews.

I used Matson to ship my STi and PASHA to ship my Miata. In the end, I had problems with Matson as they didn't pay any attention to my note about my doors and somebody smoked in my car and put a cigarette burn in the driver seat. However, Pasha got my car shipped more quickly and I'm pretty sure they cleaned it because it seemed cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off. Next time PASHA gets the STi.

I was living in Monterey, CA at the time. I had to drive the STi up to Oakland and drop it off there for Matson. PASHA picked up the Miata at my home and put it on a trailer. Both cars went to Oahu.
