Well I got the game for PC too...technically I haven't picked it up yet but I will on my way home!

I used to play in servers that had league player types...used to usually place somewhere in the Top 1-5 during games but that's not to say that those guys were trying hard or playing like they normally would. I was trying hard though.

 

Yeah, I went to sleep at 7am this morning. Nuff' said.

 

Just picked it up...didn't realize it was $60 new...I thought new games were all $50.

Anyways, 25 minute install time on disc 1. Damn.

 

just like i planned. showed up at pearl highlands gamestop around 11:55 by the time i finished pre-paying the guy was like oh its 12, heres your game! then the other nerd behind the counter was like aw man some guys have been waiting here since 10. haha what a great night and good thing im off today. videogame headaches here i come!

 

got the game at kapahulu gamestop. small store but the lined backed up to mobi!!

I invited you to our game last night, you should have played. Had a solid game with 12 locals guys for like 4 hours straight.

 

The guy at the gamestop here said the line at midnight was 100+ people and they sold 300+ copies last night and today.

I was playing with my co-workers and 3 other local guys. We played till about 3:45 ish then had school at 10. It was well worth it!

 

Single Player was a pretty amazing experience...especially the D.C. parts But I did have a slight problem.

Computer was lagging out pretty hard anytime there was a lot going on like when Nikolai's plane flew over head and popped flares. And basically all of the wildest gun fights.

I run:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 2.66ghz
4 gigs DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon 4850 with 512 mb

You'd think this would be enough to not have that kind of tremendous lag (like every few steps it would freeze for a few seconds).

Had settings at:

1020 x 768
0 Anti Aliasing
Shadows off
everything else on

Anyone know if it is a hardware issue or a settings issue? I know my computer should be able to run this damned game no problem but these freakin' stall-outs are killing the experience.

 

I just finished the game finally in ONE WHOLE sitting.

Single player was great, although the ending wasn't as good as I'd thought it would be. Multiplayer is pretty fun and balanced.

I have a E6300 Core 2 Duo 1.83ghz, 4gb of ddr 2 ram, and 9800 GT and have zero problems at 1680x1050 resolution.
