Why did they not simply keep the dual AVCS ej25? There is nothing wrong with that engine.

The new design seems to be solid and reliable as expected, but less friendly to modification. Part interchangability is gone. The cylinder walls are prone to flex with added power. Turbo install will have to be fully custom and the oil filter location is plain retarded.

Don't see much for cylinder support there. Better come out with a semi-closed preferrably closed deck block before a turbo gets installed.

Kind of late to the show... Max Orido already swapped a 2UR (5.0L IS-F V8) and Tetsuya Hibino has a 2.6L Cosworth built big turbo EJ25 in his FT86.

your right what i said was this... "500whp with turbo lag is a lot more fun the 200 crank imo, but the brz does look very nice!"

point still being a 500whp car with turbo lag would offer me a lot more pleasure then a 200 crank hp brz. like a said the brz looks great but its slow, it does handle great but for me the car would be a lot more fun to drive with more power.

No the brz does not have turbo lag, I would take turbo lag over the BRZ. To Each it's own,
its not my car. It's just what I think about it, we all can think what we want right?

You may be right but toyota has already tired stuff similar to this and it failed lol from my experience it was the more recent tacomas with a semi-vertical oil filter. I hope that these BRZ are assisted by gravity as you have so trolled!

Are you serious? The new tacoma filter placement is the best thing ever. Yes oil comes out of the filter but theres a little nipple thing that you just put a bottle or a cup under to catch it. WAY better than taking off the whole skid plate to make sure oil doesn't get all over that...
