So the title says it all...Is recon still a pain in the *** if I were to bring a heavily modded VW over? Asking for somebody else..Oh yea for those that might remember me I will hopefully be back in less than 3 yrs..

I think the only limiting thing with getting it shipped over is the ride height (needs to be able to clear ramps) but otherwise the rest of it is getting the car Recon'ed and/or Safety Checked.

He/she may just have to raise the car on the coilies to make things work and he/she should be golden.

 

The FMI might be a problem for safety check

 

Recon'll likely bust you on the FMIC, suspension, and the headlights, and possibly the exhaust as well (if it's missing cats). Those are the big "no-no's" that I can see from glancing over the mod list.

 

Why is the FMIC a problem? I figured as long as you still had your bumper beam intact it was fine?

4300k HID's (Isnt this about foglight status?) I know these are illegal, wont pass recon/safety lol.

 

i would just give up n kiss getting recon goodbye...lol...like jon said im not a fan of recon n will never get it...with that being said i'll just let the tickets keep building up..yah i know..
