Under the rear deck you'll find the light running to your 3rd brakelight...yiou'll have to splice those wires off and get them to the wing you just got...

Are you sure there's no line on the side under the trunk lining on the right side? Not sure about an 02 but an 04 has the wiring for the wing even if it doesn't come with one.
You could even pull off the connector going to the stock third brake light and wire it directly to your wing light.
Solves the problem of eliminating the third brake light.
It's just Positive and Negative...use a meter or circuit detector.
I have free time on Saturday to help you if you let me change my exhaust at your place...my thing'll take like 30 minutes.

I purchased a wing for my 02 wrx and it came with the mounting kit which included a wireharness that connects from the wing onto a harness that is tucked away on the right side of the trunk behind the grey materil that lines your trunk.
If you have the entire wiring harness for the wing then all you would have to do is plug it straight in.
If you didn't get it from the person you got the wing from I would recommend contacting him to get it.
