Boost Gauge Install

I'm thinking about installing a boost gauge into my '13 WRX hatch. I was wondering: (1) does anyone have a preference between SPT and aftermarket gauges, (2) will installing a boost gauge void my warranty on my TMIC as you have to remove it to fish the wires/tubes through the firewall, (3) does anyone have pics of their install on a 11+ WRX? Thanks in advance for the help.

If you get an spt boost gauge that they offer as a Factory accessory I don't see how they can void your warranty since its a factory offered part.

I think it's because you have to remove the TMIC. I read somewhere that there's a type of adhesive that once broken cannot be reactivated and therefore indicates to the dealer that the TMIC has been removed. I don't know tho and I am kinda getting frustrated with how sensitive the warranty offered is shaping up to be.

You can have the dealer install it for you? I mean if they install it im fairly certain they cant void your warranty.

You don't have to remove your TMIC or go through the firewall, I just wired mine on the drivers side wheel well, You just run the wire along the car down there and there is an opening behind the tire that pops out behind your clutch.

Sounds good! Did you install an aftermarket or SPT gauge?
