Boost Controller

Ok, sorry for the flood of posts. Just want to get a hold on things before I start mass ordering. I probably should put more than 100 miles on the car before ordering so much, but what the hell.

Curious what boost controllers yall recommend. Going to hit SpeedGear today and check what they have, just need some recommendations. Looking at Blitz now.

I'm selling a 6 month old Blitz DSBC Spec-R

The Dual Solenoid Boost Controller Spec S and Spec R have four programmable boost settings or various levels of boost. These units features a built-in boost gauge, peak boost display, four different boost settings, boost warning, scramble boost, and a boost limiter safety feature to prevent over boosting. They are 1/4 din in size and is compatible with internal actuators and external wastegates. This unit is available in a silver case with an green LCD display. The difference between the DSBC Spec R and Spec S is the solenoid design. Spec R uses dual solenoid while the Spec S uses a single solenoid design.
The four channels allows you to have different boost settings (ex. Track, Everyday, Spirited, and Valet) that you can switch between with the turn of a ****.

Gruppe-S is selling it for $425.
You can have it for $275.

Let me know if you're interested.

Cool. I'll be taking it off this weekend. I'll PM you with details.

I mounted mine where the ashtray is. It would look better next to the cupholder though. I saw someone dremel that area so the control unit is flush. Just to get an idea, the area I'm talking about is where the tubo timer is mounted in the pic.

I got the same TT where yours is. Maybe I will work on getting it where the cupholder is instead. Nice radio install, looks cool. Need a dvd video where the stock radio was tho. =)

That is a video screen in the pic (not my car though). Someone on the other board was selling the whole thing with the screen mounted on the trim for ~$350 shipped.

Temptations, temptations...

Ah yeah saw that one a bit ago. Went to Special T Tinting today and talked to Adams and Efren about stuff. Getting a nice Clifford in Sunday and then will chat about audio/video stuff. Stock will work for now, I got other things to do.

Re: Boost Controller

Dave,
If you are going with Vishnu Stage 2 (which I believe includes the ECUTEK remapped ECU) I don't think you will need a boost controller. I know with Stage 1 it's not recommended since the boost map is changed to a more aggressive one.

Tim is right, you dont need a aftermarket boost controller with the ECUtek. The factroy electronic boost controller will control boost pretty reliably.

Ok, you guys are really confusing the hell outta me now!!! =)

With Vishnu Stage 2 (remember I am ordering it, but will most likely install stage 0, stage 1, stage 2 at varying times of course so I can feel the little boosts in power) should I get a different boost controller? Would I benefit at all or would it be a waste of money? I dont want to get one if it wont help me at all, but if I can still use one with the vishnu crap and have the different settings for daily driving, track, valet it still sounds like a valid purchase. Yes? No?
