Morning Everyone.
I know this is a hot topic for some but before we even get into the "who is going to win" part, i wanted to offer something up.

Charlie and I are going to be at Hooter this saturday to watch the fight. They are having a V.I.P party upstairs that is 25 dollars a person. It includes UNLIMITED wings the entire time and cheap beer! If you dont already have plans and would like to watch the fight with some friends, come on down. If you want more details let me know. i want penn to win but not sure if he will.

 

I always seem to be going against the grain, But barring the lucky shot from either, I pick gsp.


I have this sneaking suspicion that penn might pull off a suprise omoplata or armbar in the 1st though.

I'm going for GSP. I just don't have confidence that BJ worked on his conditioning.

I personally think BJ Penn talks a big game but he is past his prime. GSP has been an amazing fighter and is humble. He never says "oh im going to kill him, blah blah blah" becuase he knows that he will win, he doesnt need to tell everyone that he is going to do it, he just does.

even if GSP doesnt win he is still an amazing fighter. I personally think it takes a bigger man to not talk smack then it does to talk smack

thats just me.

 

I hope Penn loses just to shut all the homers up!

 

bj is def. not past his prime by any means!! thats crazy talk!! hahaha i know him pretty good and his ground game is tremendous!! but weather or not he will get to utilize it remains to be seen..... i like bj just because of the underdog factor but gsp is my favorite fighter at walterweight by far and i think he has what it takes to win....... imo the only way bj will win is if he gets lucky and catches gsp in the chin (hes been known to have a glass jaw as well as everyone else in his training camp...i think theyre all so good theyre not used to getting caught)......or if it turns into a jiu jitsu match.... other than that gsp.... bigger faster stronger and in better shape!!! now weather or not he has the head to just scrap....hmmmmm we will see tomorrow like i said ill root for bj just because of the underdog factor but i see gsp winning it late in the first round by eithr ko or tko...... hmmmm im excited this weekend is gonna be nuts i think im already hung over!! hahaha

 

I'm rooting for BJ to win. GSP is in amazing shape though. regardless as long as their both in top shape the fight should be awesome!

 

Yeah Penn is past his prime just like I don't like to watch ****.

The last two times GSP has lost it's been because he didn't have his mind right and got dominated by guys he really shouldn't have. Penn has never had a mental problem moreso a conditioning issue because his skills are so beyond most fighters that he didn't need to be as athletic as them...in their last bout, GSP's face looked like someone shot him, if BJ didn't gas he'd have won easily.

GSP does talk trash it just isn't as in your face as Penn...besides his camp talks enough for him

I think it'll be an awesome fight I root for Penn but really like GSP as well.


I think the only bad thing about tomorrow night is having to sit through a Lyoto Machida snooze-fest...that is when I will go check email and read a magazine. I know he's got skills but damn he is so boring to watch.
