In a bind

Hello I know I'm new to the forum but I'm in a jam and need a little help. I went to get recon today and I failed for tint painted headlights and of course the bou ce test. I can correct the tint and lights but I don't have stock suspension or tools as my possessions are still at the port and I'm living in a hotel. Does anyone have stock or anything that would pass recon that I could borrow or rent, thanks in advance.

Where are you located and what suspension do you have?

Set them to the softest setting you can get them too. A buddy of mine had the same issue so he went back to stock suspension and still failed. Threw his BCs back on, made them soft and passed. Hope that will help. Godd luck and welcome to the island

Thanks man. I had them on the softest setting but the inspector said they have to compress one inch up and down. Which honestly I don't think any coil over will let alone stock. I was thinking of maybe taking air out of the tires so he sees the car move but it'll just be my sidewalls.

Softest setting should do the trick...might just need to push down harder. I know it took a second try for me on BC's.

Cool I appreciate all the help guys. At least there is no emissions then I'd be really screwed. Haha

We're in the same boat bro. If we had an Emissions law, a lot of us would be trouble

How much preload do you have on your springs? My Megan's was preloaded 4mm and the ride was stiff, I set the preload to nothing and turned the dampers all the way soft and I passed recon... This was 2 weeks ago

RECON, not safety... There is only one place that you can get RECON.
