Best track car for around 7G ?
Best track car for around 7G ?
Hey all,
What platform do you think would be the best for a semi-dedicated track car....budget=7 grand, car + mods ? By semi-dedicated I mean daily driven, but plush ride, a/c, interior, etc don't need to be there. I run mainly auto-x, but track day's would be nice too
240, hachi, miata, early gen mr2, crx, FC, I'm open to any suggestions.........What would you do with 7G ?

I'm gonna go with 240. VERY CHEAP. SR20 swap and there is 200 hp with no mods. Suspension is very available as are brakes and anything else you may need. Car:500 and up, engine: 2000-3000, Suspension: 1000, Brakes 2000. There would be a fast car for very cheap and easy to build on when more money comes in.

You will cringe at the lack of power, however, when the other guys are braking, the Miata laughs as it scoots by!
It is also a nice departure from the hard-top world. I may reconsider it as a "play" car also...
