Beach camping..

can anyone please offer any advice on where I can go beach camping that is within 30 minutes of kaneohe or kailua?

^^^ this! Unfortunately it is illegal to camp on just any beach in Hawaii. However, the state offers permits for weekend camping. Good luck!

yeah :/ you can get a permit to camp at bellows other than that the only other close beaches to camp on would be the exact same beach just farther down the road haha

Go to Kahana. You can sign up for your
permit on line on the state's website. I think it's free, but you need the permit.

you can also at waimanalo beach park...... get lots of homeless there tho... need to get a permit too

ill let you in on a little secret... as long as you have a fishing pole and your tent door is open, its completely legal to be "camping". if cops tell you otherwise tell them you're fishing!!! haha happy camping man lol!

This true. But don't get caught with open alcohol containers! Red plastic cups usually do the trick!

LOL Yeah, fishing and drinking don't mix. You might hook something important!

Last time we had a big beach bash we buried the kegs in the sand under a bush. Bubbling springs of happiness.
