Cory, has there been update on the points system? I heard from Dr. Lau it was changing.

 

It's no longer based on finishing position.

Points will be rewarded based on a percentage of time off the winner. So, if you finish close in time to the class winner, you are awarded more points than if you finished with a large spread in time to your competitors.

 

I don't totally recall, but was it 100pts for first? and then the percent of the fastest time in class is everyone elses points?

 

Whoa! this is a game changer for sure! I think it will definitely make points championships more exciting!

 

Sounds interesting but much more complicated. Are they going to post it up somewhere?

I think it would be more interesting if they allowed for participants to miss some events instead of scoring all 12, at least for the classes.

Either way, I will still have fun!
