Looking good guyz. So what is the predominant R compound tire out there? Back in my day it was the Yokohama A008R (50 treadwear). Now that I kinda got the green light to go autocross again...the track closes, hope there is a new area to race on. I wish Aloha Stadium would open themselves up for autocrossing again...considering that a lot of auto-x's are in stadium parking lots.

What's the major differences between the Kumhos? The Toyo RA1 is just plain expensive, has anybody tried Hoosiers? Back in the day, the Yokohamas were quite inexpensive, but then again they were puny 185/60 14s on my GTi. 225/45 17s is in a whole new ballpark, so price is a factor.
