From what I've read,
even the JDM STIs are using bushings similar if not identical to what we get in the WRX. And you're right about pressing the bushings in and out, it's not very easy according to those that have done it.

I already have
the rear links, Noltec in front, and the control arms. I'm actually contemplating replacing my Tein Flexs. I remember someone on Nasioc posting about replacing the bushings with Group N. They were cheap, but difficult.

I think if you take out the rubber bushings and replace them with polyurethane then it will be stiffer than stock if they are just plain rubber they are coming out..
