Pat,
I'm buying that V4 STi front clip, and I'm thinking about just shipping the engine to Gruppe-s or something like that to get the swap done. That is unless you think that we can do it ourselves. I have a friend that is going to come up from Texas to help me, and if you help that will make 3 of us. I am willing to put in as many hours as I need to, but I am sure that we will need your expertiese. So what do you think?
Nate

Aww man. Hard question.
The good news is that I just saved 14% on my car insurance.
We could do it. That said, the logistics that have nothing at all to do with the swap are the problem.
Where would we do it? It would obviously be best for me if we did it in Bloomington, but I know that if I were you, I wouldn't want to have to drive and maybe stay down there.
When? This is critical because I need to know whether I'll be working or not.
What mood will my wife be in? Changes with the wind.
What more stuff would you need that you don't already have on hand? Are you just doing a straight swap? Do you have the crossmember? Are you swapping in a trans as well?

Pat I'm buying the front clip, so it will include everything we should need. Wire harness, crossmember, fuelpump, and anything else. I can have the engine delivered anywhere, so if you have the space, I can send it to your house. I will come to bloomington for as long as it takes, because I really want to do this. When, that is still unknown. I would say maybe during my spring break from Purdue. We should have everything. I don't know how many tools you have, but I can bring a lot from my Dad's place. We would need an engine hoist I guess also. We would be doing a trans swap as well. From a auto to a 5 speed. Tell me what you think. I would be so gratefull and I would provide unlimited beer or anything you want or whatever. I really just want to learn the car, and participate in doing this if I can.

Ima gonna have to pass it by the boss first. I'm in South Cackalackie for another week or so, and this is something best asked face to face. If that don't work, lemme see if I can't find someone's garage. I've got a couple of old friends around here that might not mind.
Are you upgrading the turbo that comes with it or going with the vf24. (I'd stick with the 24. No additional EM to screw with.)

For now I am sticking with the 24. I just want it up and running before I do any power mods. Just pm or call me when you have an answer from the boss.
