your idle should be more smooth... i wouldn't be able to give you a good comparison since i ran my stage 2.5 and stage 2 on an auto

i am... with a perrin dp, and blitz catback custom flange from a 2.75'' to a 3'' to fit the dp. but this is on a 06 sti and on 93 oct. it's well worth the money. i made a mistake getting it because im going to run the gt35r kit and im using the hydra standalone for tuning. so basically i wasted money on it. i could get it protuned from the streettuner from cobb but imo, the hydra is better.

I'm also running stage 2, noticeable increase in pull. Also my gas mileage didn't seem to decrease, I still average about 23 mpg.

yes the gas mileage is a big factor. i remember having about 23 mpg or so when i was just doing full on spirited driving (and believe me, you can't help that). but there was a time i tried to experiment and drive normally and i ended up with roughly 25-27mpg or so. i was shocked!

this set-up seems very aggressive. my egt's if i remember climbed pretty fast from 300 celcius to about 750 and maintained a steady state at about 850 or so. i now have the cobb stage 2.5 and i can tell that compared to the stage 2, it's very conservative due to the use of the limiting stock intercooler.

as for the driving, YES! boost seems to come on instantly and peak boost is reached at about 2600-2800k or so and pulls to about 5600k, then tapers off from there. this is why i needed to go to stage 2.5 with the VF30. i didn't mind sacrificing some low end for the top end redline pull, if you know what i mean. but for the stage 2 set-up, low to midrange is AWESOME! totally different car. actually, i would want to say that this is how the car should've came out from the dealer.
