Followed instructions in manual I get this message "There was a problem with communication, Trying Again" Then I wait...and wait...i waited 20 mins and nothing. I couldn't even push the cancel button. It did nothing. I tried green connectors connected, plug in AP select stage 1 91 oct map v104, then turned ignition ON, got to the initializing screen "dot dot dot dot" then Okay! then "There was a problem with communication, Trying again" Then the same stuff! I've tried almost every possible way. Yes my green connectors on the drivers side are connected. I get a CEL and the fan cycles on and off. A weird thing is that I dont have to have the green connectors connected in order for the AP to power-up, I just plug it into the port and it turns on.... After talking to Cobb I think it might be my cable that plugs to the AP and the diag port. would an OBDII scanner cable from checkers or something work?

That's what you get for reving on me on the Freeway w/ my Pop's in my car. Just kidding. I'm running an AP on my 04 STI. Had a similar problem and put it back to stock and reloaded it. Let me know if you need help. I'm in Mililani. 230-1138

I think the accessport is messed up after talking to you on the phone. I'll bring mine tonight and we'll hopefully get it working.

yo are you trying to flash a base map?

and if you are, did you plug in the extra plug that came with the AP?(the white plastic one with 2 black wires) along with the green connectors?

oh and the AP is supposed to turn on by just plugging it in. for switching Realtime maps

your only supposed to plug the green connectors together when flashing Base maps.

What white plastic connector?? Yeah, I plugged in the greeners. Got the cycling fans and flashing CEL. LaR, I didn't rev on you. Never saw you on the freeway. Cobb sends me an email telling me to connect the unit to my comp and delete the maps currently loaded and upload the new maps. I can't hook up the AP to the comp until I mate it to the ECU right? WTH?!

On the freeway in sixth I can down it to 5th and pound the gas and actually i can feel the car push/pull harder. I switched to the Stage 1 93 octane map. Waiting for the ECU to get used to it. I ll try doing what cobb told me. Then I have an STi Accessport to sell...NIB! Or 2 to use....
